Electric Water Heater – Pee Dee Electric offers a $50 rebate on the purchase of a new or replacement electric water heater when purchased and installed according to the following standards:
- The water heater must have a 40-gallon tank or greater capacity
- The water heater must have an energy efficiency rating of 94% or better
- Pee Dee Electric recommends insulating the water heater with an insulation blanket, as well as insulating the hot water pipes.
It is up to the member, or contractor hired by the member, to choose the water heater that meets Pee Dee Electric’s specifications listed above, from a dealer of their choosing. The member or contractor is also responsible for choosing and hiring a plumbing contractor if needed. All costs and fees associated with the purchase and installation of a water heater is at the member’s and/or contractor’s expense. Pee Dee Electric makes no guarantee, expressed or implied about the quality of the water heater or installation. The manufacturer, not Pee Dee Electric, guarantees the water heater against defects.
To apply for a rebate on your water heater, download the Water Heater Rebate Request Form below and return the completed form, along with a receipt for the purchase of the water heater, as well as the energy efficiency label from the water heater, to either Pee Dee Electric office location. Once processed, the rebate will be applied to your account as a credit.
Energy Star Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate
Pee Dee Electric offers a $400.00 future rebate credit for an Energy Star Heat Pump Water Heater that is purchased and installed according to manufacturer specifications and applicable electrical and plumbing codes.
To request a future credit through the Pee Dee Electric Water Heater Rebate program, click and print the Water Heater Rebate form and submit it to any Pee Dee Electric office location. A purchase receipt for the water heater and the energy efficiency label must accompany the application when submitted for processing.
