Storm Center

When bad weather strikes, that’s when you can count on Pee Dee Electric to be at our best. You can help us restore power in a safe and timely manner by knowing what to do before, during, and after the storm.

Members are reminded that when a lengthy power outage occurs, it is important to turn off most household breakers until power is restored. It’s easier and safer for our crews to reenergize lines and reheat transformers when the system isn’t overloaded with too many appliances or heaters calling for power at the same time. Once power is restored, turn on breakers 1 or 2 at a time over a period of 10 or 15 minutes, until all breakers are back in the on position.

Pee Dee Electric cares about its members and it’s important that your family is prepared for bad weather. Below are a few resources to help your family prepare before the storm hits and stay safe both during and after the storm.
