Care To Share is an assistance program funded by Pee Dee Electric
members to assist non-profit organizations within the communities we serve. With Care
To Share, Pee Dee Electric automatically rounds up monthly
utility bills to the next even dollar amount. Members participating in the program pay an average
of 50 cents more each month. This monthly
contribution can be as small as one penny, but never more than 99 cents. For example, if
an actual bill is $56.69, it will be rounded up to $57.00. This extra 31 cents, together with
extra cents from other Pee Dee Electric members, will be
placed in a special trust overseen by the Pee Dee Electric
Board of Directors.
Guidelines for Care To Share: 2. Any non-profit organization that wants to apply for funding, will be required to write a letter requesting for the Care To Share program to consider their need. The letter should clearly state the name of the organization, why they are requesting for money, and what the money is intended for. A return address with phone number and a contact name of an officer of the non-profit organization must be included in the letter. 3. Once we have received the Letter of Request, the organization will be qualified through our program criteria. If they meet the qualifications we will send an application for funding to the non-profit organization. |
