Explanation of Billing, Late Fees and Returned Checks

Payments are due and payable upon receipt. Electric bills are past due 25 days from the bill date. A 1.5% penalty will be applied to all past due bills.

If the bill is not paid 7 days after becoming past due, a $10 delinquent notice will be mailed reminding you of your late bill. Your service is subject to being disconnected 7 days after the disconnect letter is mailed.

If it becomes necessary to disconnect a service for non-payment, the past due balance must be paid in full, in addition to a $30 disconnect fee, $30 reconnect fee, deposit if one is not on the account, and any overtime fees for reconnects after 5pm and holidays.

A $25 NSF check fee may be charged immediately from your bank account for any NSF checks returned by the bank. After two bad checks, you will be required to pay with cash, money order, or certified checks for two years.
